Recently bought these for my work truck, a 2018 Dodge Promaster City. This van has factory 4" woofers in the doors, but with some home made 1.5" wood mounting rings, 6.5" woofers fit perfectly. The van also has factory tweeters in the A-pillars. Hertz tweeters fit with a little fine tuning. I had to peel the plastic layers off the factory tweeter bracket and enlarge the mounting hole with a hole saw, then reassemble and glue the mounting hardware together. Judging by the specs, reviews, and price, it hit the spot. I have previously used Polk components on my last work truck and A/D/S components on my last car. My original plan was to run them from the factory. a while before I had time to upgrade the main unit and add an amp and subwoofer. Well, I went ahead and did most of the updates right away. I am currently still using a factory head unit with a line out converter powering a JL Audio 300/2 v1 which sends 150 watts per RMS channel to these units. components. I understand that this is more RMS power than they were calculated for, but I'm trying not to overload them. So far I am very impressed with them. For a $100 component kit they are amazing. Obviously Hertz has higher end lines than these, but for my work van I prefer the more affordable route. The only reason the JL amp is here is because it was left over from my last system in the car I sold. I actually only have 3 complaints about it but my complaints don't affect my rating as I was aware of both prior to purchase. They are to be expected in this price range. First, the tweeters aren't as soft as I usually prefer. I usually choose silk dome tweeters. However, these Hertz tweeters are very clean and detailed. Second, crossovers for a tweeter are high frequencies only. The woofer is not filtered at all, only the full-range signal is naturally attenuated, which is normal. Finally, the wires that come pre-wired to the crossovers and tweeter are very, very thin, 18 gauge at best. I would have preferred a 16 gauge on the tweeters and screw terminals on the crossovers, but I think at this price point more money is being spent on the drivers themselves. Along with these components, my van features an Image Dynamics 8-inch subwoofer in a sealed box under the driver's seat, powered by a 4-channel, 150-watt RMS per voice-coil Polk Bridge amplifier. The Fast Rings foam baffles around the woofers to connect them to the door panel gave me a very decent sound system that would play loud and clear. Exactly what I was looking for. And since the amps and subwoofer are left over from a previous setup, my investment in this system was probably only about $200 in new parts and materials. I would definitely recommend these Hertz components to anyone looking for a cheap speaker set with decent sound. system in my personal car when I'm ready.
