I know a lot of people probably get this so they can play in the dark (and it worked great for me when I tested it) but mostly I needed this to increase the light in my room during the day that never seemed good enough to keep track of the Oculus Quest 2. I removed the plastic cover from this light and used a small piece of aluminum foil to cover the light sensor, then replaced the plastic cover and installed the flashlight high up on the wall behind me, facing the middle of the floor. I then plugged it into a switch I keep on my desk and only turn it on when I want to play VR. Closing the light sensor means it's always on, so I needed an on/off switch to control the switch. Works perfectly! No more missed hits or floating controllers due to poor tracking. Good product!
