Review on Stone Derailleur Suitable Mountain Trekking by Jonathan Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holds up well but needs some adjustment.

Got a set of non muzzles for my 24 year old MTB. This bike always comes as an extra, so I decided to streamline the gearing. After replacing the chain, chainring and new cassette, I noticed that the wheels no longer spin straight. These Stone jockey wheels fit and perform a thousand times better than worn Shimano STX/RC stock original wheels. The trick for me was to sharpen the profile of the teeth a bit and smooth them out with a hard buffing wheel. The teeth were just too big for the task at hand. In addition, the clearance between the upper road wheel and the new, much larger wide-band cassette was tight. Now it shifts smoothly. New life for an old bike. I also really appreciate sealed bearings.
