The replacement part is indistinguishable from the original except that it works. This is a two speed fan and on the original the speed that should be on when the air conditioner was burned. My A/C cut out and when I stopped the compressor would drain the refrigerant. Well, this new fan and refrigerant charge (both of which I made myself piece by piece for $110) saved me $500-600. Pulling the old fan out of my 2003 PT Cruiser wasn't too bad as there are videos on YouTube demonstrating the process. One of the six fan mounting screws was almost impossible to get out and I couldn't put it back in due to the limited space, but the other 5 screws made up for the missing screw and it's still securely in place. Work took about an hour including charging.
