You have to see this fan up close. .

You need to see this fan up close. This was a 2006 PT Cruise with no cables. Mine must have a completely different 4 pin connector with a wire harness going to a pair of connected relays.

Good replacement for spare parts

Fans in cruisers have always been a problem, the brushes in the motor wear out and the fan stops working causing the car to overheat and the air conditioner to overheat. After replacing the fan, the car runs perfectly and the air conditioning blows ice cold again.

Out of service for a little over a month

The slow side failed on October 22nd, it was installed on September 8th. To get a replacement I have to go through the Mfg warranty. The car is needed so cannot be tethered for long so I have no choice but to buy another one. Don't waste your money on this part.

A good replacement fan if your air conditioner fails or the engine overheats when idling ('03 PT Cruiser)

The replacement part is indistinguishable from the original except that it works. This is a two speed fan and on the original the speed that should be on when the air conditioner was burned. My A/C cut out and when I stopped the compressor would drain the refrigerant. Well, this new fan and refrigerant charge (both of which I made myself piece by piece for $110) saved me $500-600. Pulling the old fan out of my 2003 PT Cruiser wasn't too bad as there are videos on YouTube demonstrating theโ€ฆ
