This machine makes excellent coffee and is fairly easy to clean and maintain. It's pretty well made, reminding me of an inkjet printer with its heavy removable plastic parts. If there was free shipping to and from a service center or onsite service I would give it 5 stars. This car broke down under warranty. I spent over $50 shipping to the warranty center and another $75 shipping back. For a product in this price range, shipping costs for warranty repairs are a real concern. It's too expensive to throw away when it breaks, but shipping costs still make up a significant percentage of the item's value. Consider buying a machine with a local service that's available for warranty repairs, or one that includes round-trip shipping costs as part of the warranty.
