I received them and I had to test them immediately because I had never used them. I cut a few toothpick sized pieces off a stick to make a little pile. Then, after only hitting my Swedish Firesteel - military model a couple of times, I was able to ignite a bunch. Much quicker than I expected. The pile burned for about 2 minutes which would have been enough to start a fire under the conditions I was in and the pile was quite small. I tried again with the same results.
