I don't review a lot of products. But this little item deserves a review. I had the normal kind of egg slicer with the wires and it was okay, but hard to clean. My husband put it in the dishwasher and one of the plastic guides bent and it never worked the same again. I kept using it though, just to make myself miserable LOL . Finally one day I'd had enough but didn't want the same kind. Was searching and found this. I liked the fact that it wasn't flimsy wires and was dishwasher safe. I ordered it and LOVE it. It slices everything! They say the wire kind slices mushrooms and other things but it really didn't do it well. This does! Plus it truly is dishwasher safe. The only drawback (and reason I kept my other slicer) is it only does straight cuts, so I use the other one if I want to make a fancy schmancy salad and cut the egg into wedges. Other than that, this is a gem. Okay, that's it. Move along lol
