We LOVE this egg/stawberry/olive/ you name it cutter! We have tried a lot of different cutting devices and this one is very sturdy and well made! It's a little hard to clean but we use a brush, and it cleans right but! How great it cuts makes up for having to take a "little" more time to clean it! We LOVE IT!

Basically I bought it to slice mushrooms because we eat a lot of them. Works great. Well built. Doesn’t rinse out as well as I’d like but it does come with a brush.

I don't review a lot of products. But this little item deserves a review. I had the normal kind of egg slicer with the wires and it was okay, but hard to clean. My husband put it in the dishwasher and one of the plastic guides bent and it never worked the same again. I kept using it though, just to make myself miserable LOL . The lever system does not work to your advantage, so you can’t exactly use it as pictured. However, it is very sturdy and has held up to lots and lots of mushroom slicing, so I can’t complain too much. Maybe there is a better product out there but I haven’t found it yet.

I wanted this to work on boiled eggs as I've already gone through two other products with wires. This product is very sturdy. So sturdy that the blades are too thick for cutting nice slices. Eggs get crushed through the blades and look ragged. And cleaning is a nightmare. A paring knife is now my choice instead. Haven't tried it on other fruits or veggies. Maybe it would be better on something other than eggs.

I was looking for a device to slice strawberries & mushrooms uniformly. Haven't tried strawberries yet but this gadget did a superb job on mushrooms. Very satisfied.

I used to have a wire type egg slicer in our commercial kitchen. I tried to use it for strawberries and, spoiler, after a few times it broke. After browsing for a while i came across this product and hot damn its a keeper. Instead of wires there are individual micro serrated blades which cut thru strawberries, mushrooms, eggs, etc like a dream. It locks closed and stores upright nice and tidy. The blades are not that sharp and you can easily run your finger along them without cutting. But I was able to slice a cherry tomato, and though a bit jagged, it did the job without squishing it. This item has razor sharp slicers, not thin wires like a regular egg slicer. I haven’t tried it on tomatoes or cooked beets, but it might work well for those. I ended up buying another egg slicer with wires.

It is so easy to use and clean, perfect size strawberries for my cereal or ice cream. Much easier to use than the last strawberry slicer I had.

Got this when my prior egg slicer broke. I cook with baby portabella mushrooms quite frequently and wanted a slicer for the nights when I don't want spend time chopping with a knife. I don't know how long I have had it, but it has held up for some time. I tend to use it for two or three containers of baby portabella mushrooms. I've seen a blade bend a time or two, but it has given plenty of use and is still working. Just make sure you have brush to clean it properly.
