So far I’ve used this on hard boiled eggs and black olives. It does require a certain touch - don’t be too hesitant. I also discovered it’s best if I use it over a plate. For example, I slice hard boiled eggs for my salad. I hold the item over my salad plate and pop it down and the egg pieces slice out perfectly but they tend to pop up and out a bit. Which is fine since I’m holding it over the plate where I want them. Same with the black olives. For my first time slicing black olives I was too hesitant and slow and it mushed the olive. Next time just popped it down and they sliced perfectly. Haven’t had any issues cleaning it or having the blades slice through the plastic at all. Very happy with the item.
