I have had this collar for about two years and it is still in great shape. My 70lb doberman/shepherd mix is usually very good on a leash, but he can get excited when squirrels or a strange dog is nearby, so it's nice to have the extra control the handle affords. The metal buckle still works perfectly and makes it easy and convenient to remove the collar for my dog's daily brushing. His dog tags have worn away the finish on the buckle but that has not affected its operation. The nylon part is well made, nicely padded and does not really show any signs of wear even after all this time.
