I bought a Trimax THP3XL hockey puck lock with the same key and internal hitch lock (3 pack) to secure the enclosed cargo trailer we use to transport our bikes. The price seemed good after reading all the product reviews and the Q&A section. We are not experienced locksmiths, so we cannot confirm the resistance of locks to picking, raking or other methods of picking. locking mechanism. Our goal with these locks is to keep honest people honest. Admits that if we tossed one of the hockey puck locks at the thief and hit him, they would know! These locks are marked with a blue weight tape! The locks arrived in the standard factory packaging (as shown on the website) with no sign of damage. All three locks have the same keys and there are three keys in each lock for a total of nine keys per pack. BENEFITS • Solid, strong, well-made disc assembly. • Inner shackle design fully covers locks. Lock diameter 3/8 inch pin. • The design of the shackle is the same as our standard trailer cleat without any changes. • The locks are fitted over the trailer plate to prevent the locks from hitting and damaging the side of the trailer. The illustration shows a top view of the latch mounted lock to show how close the lock is to the side of the trailer. This can vary depending on the application. CONS • One of the locks appears to already have some corrosion in the lock barrel which slides inward to secure the lock assembly (see pictures). The other two locks are perfect, no corrosion noted. It's straight out of the box! Time will tell if this becomes a problem. There are several reviews reporting corrosion issues. We plan to lubricate the locks before extended use as part of our annual trailer maintenance.
