I received this after reading a number of reviews of various GPS units and it seems to suit my needs the best. I needed a GPS for work because I drive to different houses in my city 1-2 times a week. I used to search for maps on Google Maps and print them out. Sometimes along the way I find I really need to go somewhere else, which can be difficult. My thoughts on this (it's the only one I've ever had): Pros: - Easy to use and set up (and I'm not very savvy with non-computer tech gadgets). - It seems that there are up-to-date maps, at least for my area. Yesterday a customer told me his street was just named and it's on the map. Cons: - Doesn't usually take the most efficient directions around town. I usually ignore them, plan my own route to get general information about the area, and then use GPS to navigate the area to find a specific house. It seems to ignore traffic lights altogether and always underestimates the arrival time for driving around town. (I've been told this is overrated for freeway driving, but I haven't done that yet.) This is a pretty big consideration for me. Google maps was amazingly accurate on time. As I fit into this driving style to try to arrive at a specific time between other scheduled appointments, it helps to have a fairly accurate time estimate. Now I know I need to add 5-10 minutes to all GPS time estimates. I think that might be why he's also messing up routes through town, since he doesn't seem to know that it takes longer to drive on paved roads than highways. Now that I know it doesn't matter, but I still use Google Maps to plan my day when I'm going to an unfamiliar area. Now I don't have to print cards anymore, which is nice. Overall, this GPS meets my needs for greater accuracy (house numbers sometimes differ by one house, but street location and total area of house numbers are correct) and user-friendly directions within neighborhoods in my city. It was wonderful for the times the place changed when I was already traveling.
