Great product so far

I've only used it twice but already like it. The cards are easy to read and the text to speak works great. We will make several trips and then rely on him more. It's your choice of intonation and we went with a female with an Australian sound, which is cool. We also downloaded some custom fonts from Garmin's website, e.g. B. a silver convertible font for our pointer. The 4-inch screen really makes a difference when viewing, and auto-adjusting the night light is a welcome feature. be for this…

Excellent GPS for sports and wearable GPS

Although this device is over a year old (old in GPS years) it's still a great device and works as expected. This is my second purchase of this device. I bought it a year ago and it worked almost perfectly. The only problem I have is that the cards are faulty. There is one place in Acworth, Georgia where I had to resort to a player's "follow the right wall" plan to get out of the unit he was leading me to. The second device was for a friend who doesn't accept technology. She thanked me again for

Garmin 650 for handheld GPS

We've had our Garmin 650 for a few months now and are enjoying a female voice telling us where to go. This is a discontinued model and I called to check the status of a model that is no longer being made. This person assured me that this is a great device that has been retired to make way for more bells and whistles devices. He assured me I would not be disappointed and he was right. This model has all the necessary bells and whistles. Plus, we saved over $400! The voice shows us its best…

How did I get by without GPS? MUST BE!

Well I got this for my husband's birthday (yes I use it mostly as it's not easily lost). We have had this Nuvi 650 GPS Navigator for a little over a year now. I wonder how I ever managed without it. I'm one of those people who can never remember where a place is, even after I've been there a few times. Because of this, I don't usually like traveling long distances (yes, I used a mapquest too, but it's not the same). With this new gadget I feel much more confident and I can go anywhere without…

Decent device, interface could be better

I've been using 650 for more than a month, it works right out of the box, the navigation seems accurate. Here are some features that need improvement: 1. Picks up the satellite signal slowly2. the interface is rather weak, the menu items are not very intuitive, for example there is no address book, you have to save your address in your favorites; "state" is incorrectly referred to as "county"3. Use branded charging plugs. I know we can charge it at home without spending another $40 on a home…

Now I Can Go Where Angels Fear - From Elders

So easy to use my 8 year old grandson can operate it. I first used it to navigate on a trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan, a town known for being hit on the trail of numerous fox hunts, as there are few roads without many twists and turns, which is complicated by the fact that this also The street changes name about every mile. Garmin got me exactly where I needed to get to on a two-day trip to town and places around town, and then to Detroit, where the speed limit is about the same as a car's…

Works for me on GPS, locators and accessories

I received this after reading a number of reviews of various GPS units and it seems to suit my needs the best. I needed a GPS for work because I drive to different houses in my city 1-2 times a week. I used to search for maps on Google Maps and print them out. Sometimes along the way I find I really need to go somewhere else, which can be difficult. My thoughts on this (it's the only one I've ever had): Pros: - Easy to use and set up (and I'm not very savvy with non-computer tech gadgets). - It
