These are perfectly fine to use if you are very, very gentle.For years, I've used the number 2 for my beard and the edges of my hair, and I dropped my clippers a while ago, breaking the no. 2 guard. So I ordered these.But I very quickly realized that the plastic on these is much, much softer and more pliable that the original Wahl ones. If you push a little too hard, it bends and your get the blades pressed hard against your skin. Even with the no.2 plastic guard staying firm on, I cut myself quite badly.So the guards themselves are the perfect shape. Just be very, very gentle when using them.
