Great value with everything I needed. The pads come with 2 straps to attach to the roof, 2 more straps to attach cargo to the pads, 2 straps to bolt to the frame under the hood and 2 straps to hold in place once closed , delivered. B. in doors, trucks or hatches, and 2 sets of lanyards for front and rear attachment of long loads. I bought this to mount things on the roof of my SUV but had to lug an extension ladder up the roof of my work truck. I attached the moldings through the sliding side doors and front doors. I'm not sure I fastened it correctly, but I fastened the straps over and through the ladder twice and it was quite secure. I didn't want to over tighten the straps and have never had any issues with shifting or slipping. I did notice some noise from the belts starting at 45-50mph but it wasn't as bad as some reviews say. I don't think I drove as fast as they did. I'm happy with my first use and I'm sure the others will be just as good. Highly recommended and significantly cheaper than the original roof rack. I like an unobstructed roof when I'm not using them. Easier to wash and wipe the SUV. I haven't had a problem with a leak due to rain, but it wasn't a heavy downpour
