This thing is really strong and well built. A premium commercial quality tool that borders on industrial quality. I was surprised at how powerful yet easy to use it is. I bought it for a specific job (custom bevels on plexiglass to match the holes on a sailboat) and it has made the custom glazing job a million times easier. Now I always reach for it when something needs to be touched up. Solid value for money, more useful than expected. It's a tool you don't "need" in the sense that everything you can do with it you can do in other ways, and it's not part of the "base" set; but sometimes it can save you a lot of time and effort. A Makita, a handle that mounts next to the front pulley would be useful, as would a 3/8 pulley mount that would allow for 1-1/8 belts.
