Very durable plastic/rubber. almost like a semi-flexible rear spoiler. It had to be shaped and adjusted a bit to fit the curve of the window, which only required a little work, no heat gun or anything. It fit the rear window like a glove and already had 2 strips of better quality 3M tape on it. I basically wiped my back glass with acetone, bought some marine silicone from Amazon ($7), and ran a bead down the middle. between two strips of tape to give it extra adhesion and secured it. It seems like the included duct tape was more than enough to keep it in place, but I also felt better with the addition of silicone. Overall a great purchase
