I wouldn't give any stars for this but it's not an option. The threads in the fuel filter are not cut deep enough into the casting, causing the fuel line fitting to fail without proper sealing. Because of this, the flare fitting doesn't seal, so fuel ends up escaping and splashing onto the exhaust system. I tried 4 times to seal it but to no avail. I ended up reinstalling the old fuel filter and it sealed with no problems. Big waste of time, no way to get it back. I bought a new Toyota fuel filter, I will try it.
