I received the tissues in a nice plastic bag which I now keep my tissues in. I washed them in hot water and a hot dryer, after washing they became softer and didn't shrink. I left them flat in the hamper and didn't fold them immediately, although after a good shake they had some creases and folded normally. If you are using for formal use I would suggest ironing them a bit to give them a clean crisp look. With daily use they are fine with a few creases. The edges do not pucker after washing. They have a cotton feel, not polyester, and are comfortable on the lap. Perfectly keeps its shape and takes shape even after washing. As long as they are light. Semi-soft to the touch, texture like khaki pants material (sorry, that just came to mind). They don't have the chemical smell that other wipes sometimes have. I would buy again and recommend.
