Pros: I was able to make this 64GB flash drive bootable with ventoy 1.0.36, at least for booting linux images. No problem, it just worked. The switch makes it read-only as advertised. That's what I need. It stores more and is faster than my old flash drives with a write-protect switch. Cons: Original capacity is 58GB. The 1TB Crucial SSD I installed advertised 1000GB and it was. This case is brief, but most flash drives are like that. USB3 speed is pretty sad. Yes, it is faster than USB 2.0. But it's mostly just a cache, especially on writes. Flash is really slow, and if you write a lot (e.g. 2GB ISO or 10) you fill up the cache quickly and can go to dinner because you don't want to wait for it. The download speed is much faster than the CD, that's what. That's quite expensive for a non-speedy 64GB 58GB drive. Conclusion: Are you wondering how much extra you are willing to pay for a write-protect switch? You can get faster and cheaper flash drives. I like ADATA. But they don't have a write protect switch. This switch is literally the only reason I would consider buying this drive. And I bought two for that.
