These bags are odorless, but they don't smell bad either. They feel very soft and elastic. They seem pretty thick and stretchy for garbage bags - they seem BETTER than most plastic bags to me. They are very light green, almost fluorescent green, and very difficult to mistake for regular junk. Hand to hang it on the handle for filling as there are no ropes, and then tie the bag with the edges of the valve. The pockets are really quite rough and the holes we put in them never tore further, if at all. Using the edges to tie works really well as long as you don't overstuff the bag. I wasn't sure what to expect from buying these bags but they don't melt. I threw away some wet trash and a few soda cans with something in them and they don't leak. They won't break right away or within a day or two, that's for sure. They come in the smallest brown box. I'm not sure how they fit so much into this little box! But for storage it is very convenient because it does not take up much space.
