I am very impressed with the quality of these plugs! Due to the many negative feedbacks, I will provide some details and photos to try to answer these users' complaints. First off, the fit and finish is pretty good. What I liked is that the plug fits into slightly recessed holes (e.g. through a phone case). In addition, the connector is very secure. At least, like most other connectors. It is easy to insert and remove, but satisfactorily "clicks" into the slot and stays there securely until removed. I intend to use these plugs for both audio and as connectors to connect to thermocouples and other sensors. My first test was with sound as this is probably the most common use and also one that easily shows small issues. I had no problems. The sound quality was very good, no static electricity was generated when twisting or otherwise manipulating the plugs. The center pin is easy to solder, but as another reviewer pointed out, it doesn't have a hole like the other connector. You can see what I mean in the photos. However, rest assured the conductor is thick and the solder provides a very strong bond. Again, heat shrinking is probably needed since one of the pins to be soldered is fairly close to this center pin. Admittedly, this might not be the "simplest" solder connector, although I have little experience with others. This should be easy for anyone with soldering experience to do. Of course, as with all other connectors of this type, there is no built-in strain relief, so you'll have to use a different solution if you're in a high-voltage environment (some shrink tubing + some glue at the base of the cap). work) Anyway, most pre-made cables I've seen with this type of connector don't use any kind of strain relief, so this might be a rethink. . Also, the only connectors I've seen with a built-in latch are really cheap plastic, not such nice metal. I really don't think you can go wrong here - it's excellent value for money (at least as far as Revain's offerings go).
