I was a little apprehensive to buy this lamp as the price was low and there were no reviews. But it looked the same as the other bulbs, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. I've used it to replace the standard lamp in an Optoma HD141x projector (which died after just 250 hours of use but has just come out of the short 1 year warranty period - boo Optoma!). The company is trying to sell you a one-piece metal case with a lightbulb for around $140. But replacing a real lightbulb inside is really easy. Only about 5 screws and no special tools. Just put on clean gloves when touching the bulb to avoid leaving oily fingerprints that can lead to overheating issues later. A complete replacement took about 5-10 minutes. My 2015 Optoma projector is back to its original great brightness. I've only spent about 4 hours with this new lamp (as of April 2017) but will come back and update this review if there are any issues in the years to come.
