I think this is a great stand. I checked it before when I bought my first one which I bought for a trip to Europe. And it worked great. Folds almost nothing, easily unfolds on the plane and keeps my laptop cool underneath. I bought this one as I now use my main laptop for the first full day and need another one that I keep trying when I bring my laptop in the house to work on after I've finished breakfast and I wake up sit in my chair My external drive fits perfectly under the top of the laptop. Is it durable? Well no, but that's not what it was designed for. Is it reliable for what it is intended for? Yes of course. And it expands to accommodate larger laptops and weighs next to nothing. And a pair of nice front ribs hold the laptop in place and allow you to close the lid with just a little extra pressure.
