This drink warmer is a good deal and just what I was looking for to warm milk for our baby on the go. However, I am deducting 2 stars due to the poor design. Pros: Connects securely to any 12V DC outlet, no room for short circuits, milk, water and other liquids heat up quickly. It took no more than 2 minutes to boil 8 ounces of water - Extremely portable and easy to fit in a mug or glass mug with an LED power indicator on the rim - No blown fuses on the 2010 Ford Focus. Cons - There is a plastic coating. On the heating element it will burn out on first use so make sure you run it once in water you don't want to use up. in the slots around the coil and will burn, but it is impossible to remove it from the slots without moving the coil apart a little. I used a butter knife to spread the coil out just a hair apart so the bristle brush could go around the coil. (When the coil is unfolded, it's very easy to clean, even if it's scalded with milk. - No on/off switch means you have to unplug it every time you use it. - Requires full attention, so you either stop or need to use the device or ask for a drink to be warmed up for you.don't let it overheat.The element is metal but the rest of the device is plastic and probably the same goes for the area around the outlet in your car. We heat about 16 ounces of liquid at a time with this and once it begins to boil a little, unplug the unit before removing it from the liquid. There is no on/off switch so it is mandatory to turn it off After heating the liquid, unplug it from time to time so as not to ruin the device. Several times I have heated more than one drink with it in one use, the cable got quite warm after I had heated two drinks of 16 oz. I wouldn't recommend heating more than one or two drinks in a single use. Let it cool down for a few minutes before heating it up again. Average. Overall, after modifying this beverage heater by lengthening the head element coil, I like this product for long-distance travel. But due to the coil stretch required, passenger assist and the lack of an on/off switch, I can only give 3 stars.
