It used to work best in launchers, chargers and portable power packs

You can get this unit but it takes time to heat/warm up liquid/soup etc. Spoon to mic around the liquid to get everything warmed up. The second attempt didn't work. Well, I'm on the road with my husband as a truck driver. Cut off the cigarette part. Put on a new cigarette part. It works like the first time. 2 stars because it only worked once and I needed something for my soup. Not always a microwave/truck stop nearby. It will stay that way until I find something else that works better.

Great for inverters

I have a metal coffee mug that keeps my coffee cold just because I let it sit for a long time (due to my work). I wasn't sure I would have a problem dropping it in my metal mug to heat up while driving. It heats up pretty quickly so keep an eye on it, but it works really well in my metal mug with no issues. I didn't think about it until first use, but what should I do with this hot item once I pulled it out. Well to my delight it cools down really quickly too and I was able to touch it all…

I got bored and read the packaging

RPBH-012 finally heats the liquid. Some complain of burnout. I haven't tested it. However, I kept wondering why it wasn't sold in stores in California. On my 3rd use I got bored and read the packaging. The element contains lead. I have heated lead in my drinks, soups, etc. I believe that since the 1970's not only has lead paint been banned from the home, but no kitchen utensils, containers or serving dishes can contain lead. The description online does not mention that there is lead in the…

Pros and Cons of Tools and Equipment

I use in a ceramic mug when hiking. To do this, the engine must be started. This thing uses a lot of electricity - I forgot to turn on the engine the first time I used it and the truck's battery died before the water could boil. a cup of cocoa! - the plastic cord stinks, has aired for weeks and still fills the truck with a foul smell when warm. The situation will likely improve over time. TIP - When the mug is hot the element will heat the water faster so I used it for about an hour by placing…

The Road Pro brand suited me best.

This brand from Road Pro gives me hot coffee in 4.5 minutes, the steam is too hot to put my hand like a lid on the cup in 7 minutes. Very easy to use. It used 3% of my Jackery 240 power supply in 4.5 minutes and 6% in 14 minutes as I tried to see if the water would boil like a kettle on the stove but by then it hadn't boiled so listened I on. The cord got hot, but not hot enough to worry? The real issue for me is that it didn't fully plug into the cigarette lighter socket which resulted in the…

It works but the picture doesn't match what I received.

If you were hoping for the metal bracket shown in the picture, forget it. I paid twice as much as other cheaper heaters thinking the metal clip would allow me to bend it a bit to accommodate a thicker walled cup. Unfortunately it has the same plastic clip as all the others and also no clear plastic piece on top of the element to protect your mug. I love my Roadpro Oven so I thought I could be sure I would get what is shown in the picture. Well, now I know, and whoever is reading this knows it…

almost a year in use and still doing its job

This drink warmer is a good deal and just what I was looking for to warm milk for our baby on the go. However, I am deducting 2 stars due to the poor design. Pros: Connects securely to any 12V DC outlet, no room for short circuits, milk, water and other liquids heat up quickly. It took no more than 2 minutes to boil 8 ounces of water - Extremely portable and easy to fit in a mug or glass mug with an LED power indicator on the rim - No blown fuses on the 2010 Ford Focus. Cons - There is a…
