I currently use it on a 2m APRS node in my garage and have walked past it a few times, because I thought that it was also cheap to be useful. Of course there will be RFI noise and it will send all kinds of interference and noise both down power lines and radiation etc so I tested a little and it's super super clean and works great with my 2m radio. The fan on it is a bit noisy, but it's in the garage so I don't care; If I was on a desk I would probably replace it with a quieter fan. And I suspect the fan will eventually fail, it's probably cheap but would be trivial to replace. Excellent quality. I didn't test it on heights at all, maybe I should have done it just for fun.
