The first thing that struck me about these cases is how much thicker they are than our old cases. It's great... I can't get too much padding. And the kit comes with plastic protectors (like shower caps) to put on the seat covers to protect them from rain and dust. Nice bonus. Ficsowy Gel bicycle seat covers are available in different sizes. There are two "wide" sizes, we ordered the size marked "Black 1" which is 10.2 inches long and 9.1 inches wide. Our #1 bike seat is approximately 10 inches long and 8 inches wide. I've looked everywhere and couldn't find an 8 inch wide case, so I figured it would be better to make it a little wider than too narrow. It was a good decision. The Ficsowy seat cover sags a little on the sides, but doesn't wobble...especially when it's taut. We tied the nosebands under the nose rather than around the seatpost as shown on the website. It seemed to go together just as well, but I may try another way and see what the difference is. It turns out that the bike seat itself is very thick... and the seat cover barely fits on the back. But it just made it tighter, so it's ok. Our #2 bike seat is thinner. It is approximately 10.5 inches long and 8 inches wide. The extra half inch in length bothered me a bit... but since it's difficult to get accurate measurements, we decided to give it a try. When we first put the seat cover on, it looked like it didn't fully cover the nose. But lo and behold... once we tightened it with the nose clips, it wrapped around the nose and covered it perfectly. Another bonus... there is a reflective strip on the back of the case. We cycle through the city streets and any extra visibility is welcome. So this is what we needed and exactly what we wanted. Good price for a good product.
