The first disc I put in didn't recognize the possibility of recording at 4x in my normal mode, like a CMC (AKA TY) Disc would be the case. . The slowest speed I could record at was 6x and there was an error midway. I've never had a TY drive fail during a write. This is not a Taiyo Yuden TY Code MID TYG03 Disc. Period. I burn hundreds of TYG03 discs a year and this has never happened with real TYG03 discs. They will be returned soon.
