I'm renovating my kitchen from scratch and I needed to mark a spot for three different types of rods. These tools are perfect for that kind of precision. In my case the installation was done by someone else and I just had to make a mark where to put the drill bit and these guides didn't help much in all cases just to make a mark through the holes (too small for the pencil point go beyond the flush). But we did it.
