Review on Denso 234-9052 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor: Enhanced Performance and Precision by John Murphy

Good sensor, suitable for Corrola 2008

We bought this O2 sensor for a 2008 Corolla with engine code R as it gave us code P0170 and the LT and FT were both high. It fits perfectly. We tried using the oxygen sensor socket without removing the heat shield. He was stuck there tight enough that he didn't want to move. In fact, we partially rounded the edges of the old sensor and had to remove the heat shield. The shield was on 4 studs and was easy to remove. The sensor still hasn't moved. We decided to heat up the manifold until it turned red, let it cool down a bit, then spray more PB blaster on the threads and rock the sensor clockwise counterclockwise until it started to loosen. After removing it, I noticed that the threads inside the manifold are small. We used a threading machine with lots of anti-seize materials. The new sensor just went in and we erased the code. Time will tell how long the new sensor lasts.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.
