Review on Winter Hooded Puffer Mid Long πŸ§₯ Boys' Clothing by LISUEYNE - Jackets & Coats by Chris Bowden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

All this and a bag of chips.

I bought this coat for my 9 year old who always wears a tank top and boxer shorts while everyone else wears long sleeves and pajama bottoms. I swear it's always at least 5 degrees warmer than here. He doesn't like layers and isn't responsible for his outerwear, so I knew I needed a coat big enough to keep him warm outside but also big enough so he wouldn't lose it at school. This coat was all of that and a bag of chips. My kid is in the 30th percentile so he's short so I might get an 8 but I wanted something he could grow into so we got a 10. It's a bit baggy and knee-high, but it suits us. He likes cuffed sleeves and deep pockets to keep all of his 12,526 PokΓ©mon cards together and dry. He mentioned that her coat is a bit heavy itself, but he never complains about the bus getting cold again, so I think that's a good compromise. Water beads are immediately noticeable, but I've only seen it worn in light or snow so far. The zippers are very smooth and seem to connect well so I don't think they will break despite my kid's aggressive zipper technique. "Boy clothes" and it makes him stand out from the crowd without making him stand out like a sore thumb. I'll try to remember to update my review a few months after my kid actually tries it.

Pros
  • Washing: Soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes and let the down jacket get completely wet inside and out. Dissolve the detergent in water heated to 30 degrees, put a down jacket in it for fifteen minutes, and then gently rub it with a soft brush. Rinse with warm water so that the detergent dissolves in the water and the down jacket becomes cleaner.
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options
