Let me start by apologizing for the length but I wanted to talk in as much detail as possible about how this collar has changed my life and the pros and cons of it. Please read this and bear with me before you buy to make sure it's right for you! I actually bought two of these for my two small dogs. I have a 4 year old Chihuahua and an 11 month old Chivini. They're both used to an invisible fence outside which, for those who don't know, is an underground fence line surrounding my property. Each dog wears the exact same necklace, and if one of the dogs crosses the border, his necklace will give him an electric shock. After ordering three training sessions and intensive work with each dog, none of them ever "checked" the fence. Having said that, I was a little confused by the size of my dogs (12/16 pounds). Do not wear both collars at the same time. But when they were outside they barked CONSTANTLY. I've tried every type of workout imaginable. In comparison, they bark at the dogs of the neighbors on both sides every time they see or hear them, every passer-by, courier, postman, every person entering the house and even worse when there was a construction site. or children playing... they will bark endlessly. It even went so far that I kept apologizing to all the neighbors one by one. So they wear these collars without collars and mistake them for collars. Every few times they put on bark collars, I swap them out for others, and we go around the perimeter. Of course it's a risk, but it was my decision. Now, as for the barking... I can't speak for those who want to use it to vibrate. I want to make this clear. I tried this with my two dogs for 3 days and they DID NOT INJURE ANY LEVEL AT ALL. I put both on the lowest shock level, the first day they each barked multiple times, the second day one barked once and they've been silent ever since. Each of them can bark, very softly, to warn me of someone knocking on the door. It's just stunning! He beeps before he gets electrocuted and that stops them instantly and then they usually come back to tell me. I was so desperate for a change and now we're all so much happier as my interactions with them are so much more enjoyable again! BENEFITS - EVERYTHING you need is in the box! - Great value for money - You can return this if it doesn't work for you - Vibration and shock option - RECHARGEABLE (No need to replace batteries! Definitely wish my invisible fence collars had this) - Comes with two different ones Collars: all black and one reflective when walking CONS - Not suitable for both collars on small dogs. While this can also be a plus, the collar is very long as it is designed for different dogs. It took a long time to adjust the dogs, then cut and burn the collar. The instructions are absolutely terrible. First I needed my daughter's help, then my sister. I couldn't figure out how to set it up myself using the instructions that came with it. But once it's set up, it's easy to make adjustments.
