Review on FIVE FLOWER Freewheel Bike Chain Whip: Easy Cassette Cog Removal Tool by Mike Marks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for a shop, but good for minor repairs

Bought a new wheelset and had to move the cassette. It took me about 30 seconds for the tool, 5 seconds to unscrew the ring on the old wheel and 25 seconds to tighten the new one, and I don't want to pay more than their price (the bike shop wanted a lot more for the job). In any case, when using a cassette ring tool, be careful not to let it jump out of the ring as this will damage the tools and could even injure you. If you are inexperienced in holding high-torque wrenches, you can simply hold the tool in the hole with a skewer. Also, push it in as deep as you can and use a socket wrench (although that won't work with the skewer trick). Place the whip on the largest chainring to minimize the effort required to unwrap the cassette retainer.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
