They look pretty accurate in photos online. The side stripes are brown/suede rather than orange. The only thing I would like to improve is that the laces are too long. I have yet to trim them because I don't want the ends to fray. My only complaint is that the "tongue" has a hard rubber tongue (perhaps designed to grip when putting on shoes, although that's not required) and will dig into your foot if you have low socks or no socks. and yes, they are comfortable and go well with or without socks.
