Serves the purpose but could use some improvement

2016 VW GTI MkVII: Fits and cleans well. The hitch rod can be shortened by about 1.3 cm as it sticks out a little more than it should. Others have mentioned that the mounting plate is thin. That's true, but I suspect the biggest problem is states with unreliable license plates. Mine are very flexible but I don't see a problem. ***You MUST take this off before washing it in the car wash*** Keep a 5/8 crescent in your trunk for easy on and off.
