Not a good fit for my horse as it is too tight and doesn't allow much movement. She has a very deep(?) shoulder. This girth presents almost the same problem as the standard girth, it pulls the saddle down behind your withers. I would say it cuts well off the elbow and if I didn't have a very forward facing saddle combined with her build it might work better. I'm going to try the TSF elastic strap and hopefully I can sell this to help offset the cost (unfortunately I figured some of our strap issues were too late to come back as I was distracted from skating with finals and holidays). However, I won't let my experience dissuade me from trying this harness. Most dressage horses have straighter shoulders than my triathlon mare, and dressage saddles don't have these front flaps, so that might work! Unfortunately the girth she loves is my dressage girth which is dangerous for jumping so there is no point in keeping it for that purpose.
