
Of course it doesn't work. It would be too good to be true. This is the only article I can find that advertises true 18Gb/s HDMI2.0 and it is a lie. Mind you, my element is clearly marked as dp1.4 > HDMI2.0. The cable can easily pass 1080p60 and even 4k30. But when I change the output to 4k60, even with HDR, the screen becomes static with white horizon lines and a ghosting of the correct image in the wrong aspect ratio. Yes, every other element in the chain works fine. The RTX3080's HDMI2.1 port works great to pass 4k120hz to our OLED, but the card only has one HDMI output. When I use this connector on our LED strip and the same high speed HDMI it works fine. The DP ports send 4k120 to the G7 monitor. Don't waste your money on an HDMI1.4 adapter when you can buy one with the same actual performance for 1/5 the asking price for it.
