// NOISE: (since this is mentioned in so many reviews) I've gone through two. The first was VERY loud. But I had a hunch it was my fault as I stumbled over the unit while assembling it and I think something fell in and the noise was pretty loud. So ordered a replacement and was very careful not to drop it again and it was significantly quieter. If you get loud maybe try ordering a replacement in case it was tipped over in transit and you end up with what happened to me. The second is not entirely calm; it is on par with white noise. I like the sound of white noise and find it relaxing so it doesn't bother me. // HARDWARE The buttons on the top that control the device are EXTREMELY sensitive. The slightest accidental touch and they work. Again, this doesn't bother me too much (the button often accidentally triggers just trying to pick up and adjust a unit's position), but it's something to consider when you realize it's a deal breaker. The supplied remote control works perfectly. It's thin, looks cheap and flimsy. If you have those popular room light bars or a Galaxy Light projector, it will be remote controlled as is. It's not broken, but I try to be careful with it.// FAN MODES AND PERFORMANCE It has low, medium and high fan speeds. Swinging / oscillating movement, as well as different fan modes such as sleep and natural. It also has timers to turn off automatically at your desired time, which you can set from 30 minutes to 4 hours. One thing I notice is that one of the fan modes is called "natural" and it's really, really random. I really hate it and don't get the point. It randomly changes the fan speed to ultra high, then low, turns off, turns on again, goes to medium or something like that. I think it's meant to mimic a natural breeze, but it's so aggressively random and really distracting. High mode is HIGH and slightly louder. This can also be a noise issue that has been mentioned by other reviewers. Again, it's like a white noise machine, but imagine the volume being boosted. I don't use it on purpose because it's too high, not for the sound. If you are looking for a *heavy duty* fan, this is it. The low setting is too much for me. I often have the feeling that I'm too cold after a short time. But I don't see that as a disadvantage, for starters I bought a fan because I wanted a lower temperature. He completely spared me starting the air conditioner. It quickly lowers the room temperature.// ASSEMBLY Very easy assembly. I assembled two and took one apart slightly (because I returned the first one as I mentioned at the beginning of the review) and it took 5 minutes. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. // Overall I liked it. I've emphasized my opinion on the noise, noticing that many of the reviews have mentioned their dislike for it, but I think that's sophistry. It's not bad. I meditated, slept, studied and read with him and didn't get distracted and didn't notice. The only time I knocked over the first fan it started rattling, but replacing it didn't help. EAT it. I give him 4/5. The one star deduction is due to how delicate the device seems to be (the drop mentioned above and then the fan spun loudly until I replaced it) as well as how sensitive the buttons are and how many times I've accidentally pressed the button when I was just trying to position the device. Otherwise I would buy it again.
