Earlier this year I was traveling around the world and dropped my phone on the cement floor which permanently damaged the screen. I couldn't navigate, change settings, connect to a Wi-Fi network, or even turn cellular data back on for backup. I've been in trouble as I've taken hundreds of pictures over the past few days traveling around Latin America and the Caribbean. Unfortunately as I was roaming my phone didn't automatically back up to the cloud leaving me dependent on Wi-Fi which was also very limited in my destinations but could only be used with Wi-Fi card where I had it to enter the code. I packed it hoping I could find a solution when I get home. I've read that my Huawei phone has a "desktop" mode where I can connect it to a monitor and use it like a computer, but I've never tried it. I was desperate so I searched for such a device hoping it would at least give me the equivalent of an external monitor and allow me to backup my phone before sending it in for repair where the hard reset/ Erasing the phone part of it is their process. . It arrived quickly, so I plugged it into my phone's charging port (USB-C) and into my TV's HDMI port. Since the touchscreen didn't work, I also connected a USB mouse. Voila! The desktop appeared and the mouse moved across the screen, so I turned Wi-Fi and mobile data back on, which allowed me to back up all my irreplaceable pictures. Wow! After this review, I found it to be a great product in many ways, especially for a new laptop that doesn't have USB ports. It is well built and has high performance. Good product!
