Review on DMC GD1929 5452 Classic Fiddlers 18 Count by Barbara Simmons

This substance confuses me! I have been sewing cross stitches for about 30 years and use 18 stitches for most of my projects. When I first received this, I thought it was soft and beautiful. I love his looks! I'm really. I thought the holes looked a little big compared to what I was used to, but I was so excited to start my project that I didn't think about it. I put the needle in the first hole and it slipped out! This needle will be used continuously until 6pm, actually until 6pm this morning. The holes are tiny, the needle stays in the hole when released. But not in this fabric. I sewed a few words together making sure it was 14 counts, I measured it with a ruler. The math works, but the holes are just too big and my words are spread across the fabric just like count 14. That's very disappointing! I gave 2 stars for the feel and looks but wanted to give 1 star for the disappointingly large holes. I will not order this again. What shit.
