The sound from the built in speakers on my laptop (which I use as a desktop replacement) is terrible so I started looking for external speakers. This soundbar meets all requirements perfectly. It's compact (about the width of my 14-inch laptop) yet powerful enough to fill a room with sound. I like that it comes in one piece (compared to two pieces for traditional speakers) and has a cable that splits into USB and audio jacks. The cable is long enough to put the soundbar on a bookshelf at the table. The cable has a built in volume control in the middle, but I just set it to maximum and control the volume from the computer. has a "Piano Black Polished" finish and looks good and well built. The sound quality is very good! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of such a compact speaker.
