Good for the price, suitable for computer speakers

I bought this to hook up to a projector in my basement. I was expecting slightly better sound quality overall, but had to remind myself how little I paid for it. For €20 it's definitely not bad. I have to adjust the sound with a switch that's on the cable that connects it to the projector - I can't use any of the volume controls on the remote, which is a downside, but it's usually right next to me so I can live with that can the. . All in all, if you're a sound freak you'll probably be very…

Pros
  • Finally bought it

Good value for money with average sound quality

I'm not a music lover but I can honestly say that this speaker lacks bass. I bought it to 'replace' the sound coming out of my Acer monitor which is like a very angry hive when you try to steal your honey. So overall a good addition. I have a Mac nearby and the audio from that speaker is less "full" than what my Mac can reproduce on its own (it's a 27" with a built in monitor and speakers). Not a big deal since it's on connects to a MacMini which also has a beehive that doubles as a "speaker"…

Good cheap soundbar for laptop

The sound from the built in speakers on my laptop (which I use as a desktop replacement) is terrible so I started looking for external speakers. This soundbar meets all requirements perfectly. It's compact (about the width of my 14-inch laptop) yet powerful enough to fill a room with sound. I like that it comes in one piece (compared to two pieces for traditional speakers) and has a cable that splits into USB and audio jacks. The cable is long enough to put the soundbar on a bookshelf at the…

Sounds good / few cables / handle is annoying

Sounds better than most speakers you'll find in a booth. Just like TV speakers. Nothing makes me want to go back, but if I were to travel back in time I'd get one with a volume control on the speaker itself. Advantages: - Only 2 wires. Less cable clutter than usual with two separate desktop speakers. I have no hiss when I turn it up to full volume. For me it gets power and sound from a desktop PC. Cons: - The volume control is on the cable so you can't hide it for a cleaner look. That's why I…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Annoying crackling/pulsing from speakers when there is no sound

Pros first: - Nice form factor - Wiring is long enough for my desk so I can place the speaker directly under my monitors, and wiring goes down to the tower that sits on the floor - Volume control knob is quite serviceable -Terrible-Easy Installation-Low Price Now for the not so good (which in my case almost killed the deal): The constant pulsing and "popping" coming out of the speakers when no music is playing. This can be fixed by turning down the volume knob, but it's very frustrating every…

Frustrating speaker crackling/pulsing when no sound is playing

Good things first: - Nice form factor - Wiring is long enough for my desktop so I can install the speaker directly under my monitors, with cords to down to the tower that sits on the floor -volume control quite useful -damn easy setup -low price Well, for the not so good ones (which almost killed the deal IMO): Constant pulsing and "crackling" off the speakers when no music is playing. This can be fixed by turning down the volume knob, but it's very frustrating every time! Adjusting the volume…

I'm sure it works fine but the wiring.

I don't want to rate it negatively, but I have to return it because the cables are obscenely short. If you have a real desktop computer that actually sits on a table, you need to make sure your monitor has a USB port. I suspect most people will have their processor under their desk with this setup, and the USB port that powers the speaker is generally not nearly long enough to reach the processor or my nearest outlet. The AUX cable goes to the AUX output on my monitor, but I can't even judge…

  • Basic volume control

Great sounding good value soundbar

Looking for a great sounding compact soundbar with a standard USB auxiliary port I came across this one. Although there are many battery powered BT speakers on the market, I needed one that could be powered from a 5V USB port. I needed one that I could leave semi-permanently plugged in and use my Raspberry Pi, PICO projector , MS Surface, Dell AIO & Ultrabook, Apple Airport Express etc. This soundbar does just that. The sound from it is not very loud and does not get distorted at high levels…

Pros
  • Compact design

  • Long delivery time

Great sound, very portable, convenient for traveling.

I've been looking for a good speaker system for a long time that doesn't take up too much space on my desk and is suitable for traveling. You don't need an outlet for power and you can just plug it in via USB. Since I have a desk, I also want a speaker system that can be raised with my desk so my speakers don't fall off. I know a lot of people would like 5.1 but these speakers are great because they sound exactly how I want them to. I can take it with me on trips if absolutely necessary, and I…
