Review on GearIT RV Dogbone Adapter: Newest Revised Version - Heavy Duty 30AMP to 50AMP RV Cord - 30AMP Male to 50AMP Female - 18 inch, 1.5 Foot by Josh Flanagan

We bought this adapter for our new motor home which has a 50 amp power supply. On our first trip, we spent most of our camping time fixing electrical issues in the RV such as: B. Fridge not cooling properly, 12 volt lightbulbs draining battery even though we were hooked up to shore power (which turned out to be 30 amps). ), outdoor fridge not working, etc. At 9pm, the last night of our first camping trip with our new RV, we finally realized that all of our problems were directly related to this adapter. Come and find out that power only goes to one leg of the 50 amp circuit. Even a 30 amp adapter must power both legs of the 50 amp circuit through a jumper that that adapter doesn't have. We borrowed another 30 amp (father) to 50 amp (father) adapter from a friend who lived nearby and lo and behold, everything worked as it should in the camper. Do yourself a favor and buy another adapter from a reputable store and save yourself the headache. I would NOT recommend this adapter.
