I added this filter to a 3 gram round glass bowl for one of my men. This works very well. I love its low profile which allows my Betta to swim freely. It is paired with a small, quiet Upettools air pump. The bubbles break up the surface great and it doesn't bother my cock at all. I'm the guy who does partial water changes several times a week. However, once a week when I change my parts, I also take the sponge out of the filter, rinse it out with water from the bowl and put it back into the filter housing. So far, so good. Many Thanks.
