Much cheaper than Home Depot and dependent on BRAND/MODEL. It couldn't be simpler, not even for the air filter. The sad thing is that for the money they don't last long, maybe 6 months as we use them for drinking and water in ice cubes. even if there is a water softener and an activated carbon filter throughout the house. I'm tempted to do a double cycle then get a test kit from a hardware store and test it 1 year later.
