Revised - voided dealer warranty - caused a big problem

I set the tune to Diablo 91 and flooded it, immediately the engine had a big problem when I hit the gas. Had to haul it to the dealer, estimated $2700 for repairs. The dealer said it was still under warranty until the codes were checked. And, YES, I cleaned the tuner and returned it to storage before it got to the dealer. They saw every time I used Diablo on a truck I didn't tell them anything. Despite what Diablo says, the tuner is NOT hidden from them. If I had known that, I would never have bought this tuner. But I've read and researched the forums, Diablo people have said on the forums that this doesn't void your warranty or leave any marks, apparently that's not the case at all. Diablo forums say mentioning the act of Magnusson Moss doesn't work at all. I fought and fought, I lost. The final repair cost me $2,200 and the only way to deal with it was to hire an attorney. Diablo, you're either not being honest with potential customers or you're just not up to date with the latest GM features and what they're seeing on the computer. I paid $331 for it, I want my money back to pay for the repair cost.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Almost never
