🚗 Enhance Performance with the DiabloSport Predator 2: 7202 Power Programmer Review

Used on a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali 5.3L engine. I've never had any tuner experience, but when I tell you this thing woke my truck up, I really meant it. These trucks must be configured at the factory. I've used Performance Tune 87 and can't believe its performance. The truck roasts the half throttle tires on launch, the shifts are much smoother (which I didn't think was possible with those clunky 8 gears) and it's just an overall smoother ride. I feel like I have a brand new truck again.

2008 GMC Sierra, 160,000 miles. The truck drives intermittently when AFM is activated, ie when switching from 8 to 4 cylinders. This was particularly noticeable when braking to a standstill. You may feel a vibration in the engine. Knowing about the lift issues caused by AFM, I wanted to remove this feature. Purchased to disable AFM/DOD on my 2008 Silverado. Received new, well packaged. Made an update straight out of the box as the manufacturer suggests. Very easy to use. I had to use a magnifying glass to read a small instruction manual, but now it seems to be the norm! Simple instructions are issued by the device after it is connected to the OBDII port. Installed on my 2015 Sierra SLT 4x4. Got it out of the box following the update instructions, says you can try without doing the update but luckily I won't risk it. The update took 30 seconds and I went to the truck. The setting matches the photos in the booklet, which is always a good thing. I set the tune to Diablo 91 and flooded it, immediately the engine had a big problem when I hit the gas. Had to haul it to the dealer, estimated $2700 for repairs. The dealer said it was still under warranty until the codes were checked. And, YES, I cleaned the tuner and returned it to storage before it got to the dealer. Good tuner for the price but study. I bought this tuner for my 2008 GMC Yukon, I read several reviews and they were all positive so I took the plunge and bought it. The most important feature was the ability to disable the AFM model (GM never had to design their cars to go from V8 to V4 and back).
