I bought this spice rack to organize our spices more conveniently and uniformly, because currently the spices are in different containers (size, color, material) and I have more than 40 spices at home spices. I thought getting 2-3 of these spice racks would be a great idea. All our spices are neatly stored and easily accessible. And the dimensions of the shelf were perfect to fit between the existing closet shelves. I started out by buying one spice rack to see if it would suit our needs before buying more. The spice rack itself is beautiful, solid, elegant and turns very well. The problem with the lids is that they are terrible. 3 out of 16 lids did not close completely after initial installation. When we first started using spice jars, many of the lids would not close completely, resulting in the spices spilling out of the jars onto a cupboard shelf or countertop. It also releases the freshness of the spices when not sealed airtight. I wish I could just buy 16 replacement lids - ones that close completely, not pop-up lids to sift and pour, rather than returning the entire spice rack and looking for a better solution to keep our spices sealed.
